| Description | One golden rule in Ayurveda is "What you eat is important. More important still, is what you digest and eliminate." When elimination is blocked the entire body is affected. We use Triphala, which has been used in Ayurvedic recipes for thousands of years as a tonic laxative and to rejuvenate the tissues of the colon. Triphala contains three ancient Ayurvedic ingredients, Haritaki, Bibhitaki and Amalaki. Traditionally Haritaki has been known to stimulate the intestines, Bibhitaki to cleanse toxins out of the colon, and Amalaki balances the water in the colon and acts as a tonic. Included in the formula are two other herbs, Yellow Dock and Dandelion, which are known as "bitter" herbs and are used to detoxify. Rose Petals are soothing and rejuvenating to the intestines. Ayurveda suggests that regularity can be improved by conscious breathing, long and deep into the abdomen; daily exercise; increased water intake; increased intake of fruits, vegetables and fiber.
